Courtenay knows how important donating is

I became a blood donor after a previous workmate mentioned she was going to her regular blood donation and asked if anyone would like to come with her. I thought why not! My parents had been regular blood donors so I thought I would follow in their footsteps.
Since my first donation I eagerly check back when I am next eligible to donate.
Recently my boss's son was diagnosed with cancer and as a part of his treatment received blood donations. This brought the reason for donating a lot closer to home. By chance my next donation was two weeks after his diagnosis and so like my workmate before, I invited the rest of my work team to join me! I got the majority of my team to join me, and now we all schedule our future donations together and go as a team each time.

Blood donating is super easy and painless. It’s always rewarding knowing how a simple act can have a hugely important impact on another’s life. It’s why I keep coming back!
